Awards
Within the 57th Annual Meeting of the German Society for Neuropathology and Neuroanatomy (DGNN), the following awards will be awarded during the DGNN Award Ceremony on Friday, 14 September 2012:
Theodor Schwann-Prize
In memory of the famous cytologist and founder of general cytology, Theodor Schwann, the Theodor Schwann-Prize in the amount of 1,000 € will be awarded to 5 doctors and scientists, who render outstanding services to the research on disorders of peripheral nerves and give a lecture during the Annual Meeting of the DGNN the Theodor Schwann-Prize. In this means outstanding posters and their presentation can be honored as well. Awarded will be 5 prizes at 1,000 € to the main author.
Alfons Maria Jakob-Medal
The medal, which honors the merits of Prof. Dr. Alfons Maria Jakob was first donated in 1999 by Prof. Dr. mult. Dimitrios Stavrou. The silver medal is awarded to doctors in the European Union, who render outstanding services in the field of neuropathology and who are in international odour.
The award is bestowed every three years at the annual meeting of the DGNN.
Werner-Rosenthal-Award
With the Werner-Rosenthal-Award the DGNN will honor young scientists with an award of 1,000 €. For conditions please click here.
