Dear colleagues and friends,

On behalf of the board of the German Society for Hygiene and Microbiology and the scientific committee we kindly invite you to our 61st Annual Meeting to Göttingen.

Following the extraordinary success of the 59th Annual Meeting in 2007, we are very happy to welcome you once again in the facilities of the Georg August University. From 20th to 23rd September 2009 a platform will be provided for profound discussions on current topics of medical microbiology, immunology, virology, parasitology and hygiene. A wide range of scientific studies will be available with our symposia, workshops, poster sessions and the annual meetings of the professional groups. We are very pleased to welcome national and international speakers to present their research findings and experiences and to furthermore discuss with us issues of basic research.

To guarantee a great variety of topics and to therefore enrich our annual meeting, we kindly ask you to submit your abstracts to the indicated conference topics.

We are looking forward to welcoming you to a successful and informative conference in Göttingen.
